What to write about Seam Reap? \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0<\/p>\n
It’s the city near Ankor and after having a distance and calming down it looks like a\u00a0funny time but while we where there I was to european.<\/p>\n
We arrived at the border Aranyaprathet\u00a0with a Local bus from Bangkok got out of the bus run away from the TUK TUK drivers waiting to drive us to the Border passage(200m). After the escape, Ingrid\u00a0realized that one small\u00a0bag with food Ingrids\u00a0Pant legs\u00a0und T-shirts\u00a0was missing. She was gone running before I even\u00a0understood what happend. Lucky us she could stop the driving\u00a0bus\u00a0and came back with the bag.<\/p>\n
Then we walked to the border passed easy the Thai section and arrived at the Cambodian side.<\/p>\n
They asked us to pay the official\u00a020 US$ each plus 200 Baht. (we read in the travelbook about that) so I asked to give us a receipt for the 200 Baht. They said yeah yeah you will get a receipt for the US$ \ud83d\ude42\u00a0I said again no, I mean\u00a0a receipt for the 200 Baht (is only 7 CHF or CAN$ but out of a princip I didn’t want to pay that). They asked us to sit down and after a few minutes they gave us the Passports without this SCAMfee. (yeah a small victory \ud83d\ude42 )The rest was quite easy to pass.<\/p>\n
At the border we met some people from Austria and they\u00a0asked us to share a Transport to\u00a0Seam reap\u00a0<\/p>\n
The prices where actually funny something like\u00a08US$ by Bus, 11 by Minivan and 12 by Taxi. Quite\u00a0ridiculous expensive\u00a0but no way to get arround it (Welcome in Cambodia Nr.2). At Seam Reap we had a free TUK TUK (included in the Taxi fee) told him which guesthouse we would like to go,\u00a0we never arrived there but at another place where\u00a0they would have had a bonus (again Welcome in Cambodia Nr3). It took quite a while of talking to those guys till we said stop, we go, we don’t need a TUK TUK anymore and we walked away.<\/p>\n
In the evening we went out\u00a0for Dinner and those Guys (TUK TUK driver and Restaurant hosts)\u00a0\u00a0where a pain in the Butt (again Welcome in Cambodia Nr4)\u00a0but the best are the TUK TUK Driver “TUK TUK”… “No thanks”… and at the point off passing by “Haschisch”… the first time I tought I didn’t hear correctly but thats the way it was. Really no kidding.<\/p>\n
Is Seam Reap Nice ? No. Cheap? No, it’s a major rip off. everywhere you go.<\/p>\n
